Specsavers Optometrists & Audiology - Moonee Ponds

I’ve been coming to SpecSavers in Moonee Ponds for a number of years now. The professionalism of the staff is commendable. Each time I feel I’m in very safe and capable hands. The results of eye tests, pricing for new frames, etc are explained to me clearly and comprehensively. On my most recent visit I was looked after by Ming for my eye test, and Zoe for getting new lenses for my glasses. Both were very great and friendly and I had pleasant experiences with both of them.

I had such a pleasant experience with Dr Jason Dinh who did my regular eye check yesterday that I felt moved to make this review. Jason was warm and friendly and took his time to explain what was going on to me and answered all my questions with such patience and positivity. I've been to so many optometrists and he was the best! The tech and other customer service staff were also great. Thanks Specsavers Moonee Ponds!

What’s a lovely experience today! I haven’t have my eyes checked for 2 yrs and team today has been wonderful! Steven has helped me with my test in a professional way and with such calm voice explaining in details in eye care. Zoe has been amazing with helping me with frame picking and explaining in details with lens options! Very happy with their services!

I went for hearing and eye tests. The staff here are lovely, very professional, helpful, friendly and open. I was able to choose from attractive frames which were very affordable. These were available for me to pick up within quite a short period. When I picked up my glasses, a staff member checked and adjusted them for me. I would highly recommend Specsavers to everyone.

I feel bad for writing this review and normally I shrug things off but I had a pretty bad experience with the service here that went on for weeks. I originally bought from the Specsavers Highpoint team since I was in the area and the team there was great. Since Moonee Ponds is my local store, I had two pairs of glasses redirected to this store. I was originally told the wait could take weeks, and it did; close to a month. Apparently, they arrived in mid-December, but when I came to pick up, we found out one of the pairs was lost with no idea of where it went. I thought that it was probably just a system error and that they would figure it out. The team here said they'd give me a call back in a few days when they figure out what is wrong. This is where the unsatisfactory service began. I waited a week for a call and did not hear back, so I took initiative and called. Except I had to go through the whole process of explaining the situation again, only to be told sorry the managers(if I recall) are out for lunch and there's nothing they could do except make a note and they'd call back before store closes. Again, I did not hear back, so I called again. I found out nothing has been done in that week. I got the feeling that there was no sense of urgency upon losing a pair of glasses... Fast forward another week and I called again, going through the same process, except now they found out that the glasses were redirected to the wrong store. Again, I had to be the one to call on that day. It felt like it was *my* issue that was being passed around to different employees to deal with. It took 2 months to finally collect my pair of glasses from the date of order. From my experience, anything that involves prolonged service like dealing with an order issue should be avoided with this store.

Terrible service. Got the script wrong. Then got the specs wrong had to send it back. Three weeks later I go to pick it up and the two lenses on the same pair are different colours! The staff member Hollie took no responsibility. Kept blaming everyone and everything else instead of accepting they needs to be fixed. Then got handed over really bad quality flimsy cases. When I asked what happened to the cases I bought, Hollie tells me "I don't know what happened with your cases but they've been given away, wait another week to get new cases" I then asked if they take responsibility, says no and asks me why she should take responsibility. she says the cases are complimentary and I only pay for glasses?!?! Just all in all, bad experience. Specially with the staff member Hollie because the previous interactions with other members were very good and they took accountability. So I'm without glasses for another three weeks. When asked to speak to someone in charge, Hollie says "manager is on Thursday and to come back then" I'm not a fussy consumer. But this was beyond acceptable for a paid service. Deal with someone else at the store. They have a good range and other interactions have been fine.
